Here's my personal opinion on carpet pythons:
1) Jungles are overrated. If you want something colorful, get a diamond x jungle or diamond x jungle x coastal cross.
2) Irian Jayas have a unique look to them, but just don't do it for me in size. 6 footers look small to me now, and I just can't get enough of BIG carpet pythons.
3) Coastals are way underrated, and have great morph potential for the future. Tigers, jaguars, and tiger jaguars are fairly available, and have great patterns with cool colors. On top of that the incomplete dominant caramel morph is being produced in the US finally. There are also a number of REALLY awesome "normal" coastals out there, but it's hard to find what I look for with the stock available in the US.
4) I get a similar vibe from bredlis as I do coastals.. bigger, neat patterns, amazing earthy tones. You won't go wrong with a bredli.
5) Jeff Favelle up in Canada makes some awesome stuff, and was the breeder of one of my top 10 all time carpet pythons I've ever seen. I think he lives in BC, so not exactly close, but if I was checking out Canadian breeders, he's the FIRST one I'd look at for availability.
6) DON'T OVERLOOK INTERGRADES. Spend some time on the internet looking around at some of the trophy quality crosses that have been produced and see if the pique your interest. I am a huge fan of many diamond x jungle and diamond x jungle x coastal intergrades.

The suburb where I live decided they were going to make it against the law to breed animals without a licence (probably aimed more towards digs and cats, but they applied it to all animals). I'd probably end up moving closer to downtown where my neighbors wouldn't know that I have reptiles (all my neighbours here are super nosy ) and all would be good.

Take a look at the granites!
I've seen some screamer jungles, not sure if they were pure jungle though (intergrades abound). Some people like intergrades, some don't. Either way, I believe in knowing what you're getting, intergrade or pure.

Bredli's are hands down my favorite out of all snakes. They have individual characteristics, very curious and active. Typically very docile and great feeders.
