    F/T purchase

OK, I've got a few questions about purchasing f/t from places like Rodent Pro and Mice Direct. I know shipping is high but that isn't my problem because with shipping, I end up paying about $1.14 per rat and that is way cheaper than any of the pet stores around here. My problem is that they sell in bags of 50 but I only have two small BPs (so 25 per BP) that are growing. I am worried that they will out grow fuzzys (for example) and I will have to deal with trying to feed them more than one rat each feeding until they are gone. With BPs being such picky eaters anyway I want to not push my luck with trying to feed two at a time. Right now I am feeding them every 7 days. If I get a bag of 50 would it be a good idea that once I see they want more food should I just feed every 5 days until I get rid of the fuszzys and jump up to the next size? Or does anyone have a different suggestion? I would also like to have time in there to handle them and all the stuff you do with a pet instead of feeding, waiting for it to digest and then go right to feeding again. Hope I'm being clear on my dilemma.

Just feed them every five days, as they get older they usually will take another without a problem.

Are there any reptile shows near you? They usually supply frozen feeders. You can get smaller quantities, different sizes, and no shipping charges.

Yea I got one coming to Charlotte, about 45 minutes away and we are planning on going. When I went to the Repticon here in Columbia, it was my first one and I was so jazzed about getting my new pastel I TOTALLY forgot to look at the f/ts (frickin duhhhh). I think they will still sell bags of 50 but I would obviously save on shipping so it will be better and they should last me until Repticon comes back in November and I can reload.

Not to mention it would give you a chance to add to the collection - you need the complete set! There's always room for just one more BP

If she doesn't go for that I use the my buddy wants to get one but it has to stay at my house angle and if that doesn't work I'll drop it until next Repticon in November...

I think you'll be just fine. If it gets to the point where the meals are significantly small you could just feed them smaller meals more frequently. I do this with most of my snakes anyway, and it has always worked out well. They don't have to have one large meal that stuffs them that takes days to digest. They will also digest a smaller meal quicker.

    GL!

I've been using that line on my fiance for a while now (by the way, if anybody watches SnakebytesTV, that was me the other week proposing), and so for I'm up to 8 snakes, so good luck. As for getting them from RodentPro, that's where my last ones came from, being as I'm not going to buy F/T from PetSmart, and they won't sell me live.
