LOL - Real easy to see if they got out They are really nice T's to have but their care is a bit harder, they are prone to bad molts and the SUPER itchy hairs go without saying - lol.

Nice shot! Reminds me of that commercial where the guy stomps the phone with his shoe... LOL.

I don't know the answer to that in all honesty. It's not a good idea to feed any of your T's vertebrate be it prekilled or live. I personally never have and never will. They do not need them. It builds up to much calcium in the T's and makes for possible problems molting among other issues. To each their own though you know.

Not to mention that it's really gross and messy if you feed them vertebrate prey. Because spiders inject that lovely digestive juice and suck up the digested prey like a smoothie, you end up with liquifying mouse because it isn't all contained in an exoskeleton like a cricket or roach.
It's gross and unnecessary, as Boanerges said.

Excellent to know ahead of time. Thank you very much. I'll add that to my list of "what not to do with your T".
So, what will the diet of your big girl consist of then?

Super worms, multiple crickets or roaches (B. dubias). Mainly crix and supers though. The same as all the other T's just larger in quantity

They have some of the itchiest hairs of all tarantulas - lol
Edit: Urticating hairs or U hairs are little barbed hairs located on certain spots of the tarantula that they use as a defense mechanism..
