I have never got the wrong sex in the mail and I have ordered several online, But at a show when I bought my male fire they gave me a female by mistake. As soon as I got to my truck I popped it and found the mistake took the girl back in. They had to ship me a male because they didn't have any more with them at the show. I ended up buying both of them anyways. This was from a big well known breeder too so anyone can make mistakes.
Your best bet if sexing adults is to get probes and learn to use them and also learn to pop for juveniles I always try to pop adults first too but if it doesn't pop male then I probe them to be sure. Never take anybody's word on sex no matter how well knowalways check for your self asap this will save you years of raising the wrong sex up to size.
