Hi,

I would try covering all of it except for the opening for the lamp and a small square on the opposite end from the lamp..

That should be a large enough area that you get a decent enough air exchange when you take convection into consideration.

Basically you cover as much as you need to apart from the areas where it would cause problems like the heat source.
