I have a question.
Does incubation conditions effect sex ratios in ball Pythons?
I seem to remember a study with pine snakes that concluded that genetics and humidity temp of incubation effected sex determination but I am not sure any more. Has anyone else heard this too. I know the breeder I usually buy from says that if things are off you get mostly boys. I can't recall exactly anymore.

I was wondering that too because the odds of all six being male was only 1/64 but I was reading a different thread on here where someone asked the same question and there were quite a few NO WAY answers from pro breeders.

I was told sex determination is due to genetics, not incubation. Humans have x and y. I can't remember what snakes have, but I think those determine sex, at least in ball pythons.

I remember that as well. I can't recall who it was but I remember something about lower temps yielding higher number of females. Our first was a spiderXnormal and we had all 8 eggs hatch ...6 female 2 male... So it's all luck with genetics. Also you have a nice reduced spider . Post some pics after he sheds.

your 1/64 odd calculation is wrong. Each individual egg had a 50/50 chance. Just because one is male it doesn't affect the odds of the others. Nice looking clutch. That spider is beautiful.
