Awesome snakes man. I have a few questions about sd's. Is there anyway to identify for certain that they are 100% and whats the average size of an adult?

Well, first off any of the morphs are crosses. I believe they have proved a pinstripe as the only morph a true SD can produce. To the best of my knowledge, the indicators are the head scales and eye shape, the extremely docile temperment, and size. Mine are 50% related. The mothers are around 5' and the father was a little over 4'. These are full grown animals. I found some good info on www.retic.org and a bit more on www.thereticnation.com It is really hard to track down good info on SD with all the secrecy concerning what island they are from and where most importers and breeders stock come from. True SD are much smaller than the dwarf retics. When they start crossing them to get morphs you end up losing a lot of the SD characteristics from what I've read.

    Regards,

    B

Nice pair of SD's. Their heads look so big when they are young.

    Sweet little retics Brian

The black pastel girl should make some smokin pewterbellies!
I'm glad you like her so much she was my favorite out of that clutch and amazingly was that chill right out of the egg.

I've never seen those before. Beautiful snakes! I love retics, but I don't want to keep anything as huge as a full sized one. But those....those look like they would be awesome to keep!

They have huge heads and eyes. They follow every movement. I pulled the out to switch their paper and they follow every little thing with both head and eyes. Very inquisitive snakes and really not afraid of anything. They allow you to pick them up with out as much as a hesitation.

LOL! My list just keeps growing. I just put payment on another hatchling ball morph. I won't have her for a few weeks.

They look great! I'm really jealous. I think an SD is going to be my next snake.
