Me three...
If you can handle a normal BP, you can handle a morph - any morph. Care is the same for any BP even if it's purple with pink polka-dots. ....Ok, maybe not for that....
If you're thinking of another BP, go with a morph that you like. No one can tell you what your personal preference should be.
But if you're looking for a different type of snake altogether, I'd suggest waiting at least 6 months. Make sure you are happy with your BP and that you not only enjoy snake keeping, but that husbandry isn't an issue, you can deal with it if she goes off feed, and you are generally happy with a snake as a pet. If everything's kudos, then make a list of what you like and what you don't like about BPs. That might help you decide.
For instance, when I was looking for something different, I LIKED Ella's size and knew I could and wanted to handle something a little bigger. I DIDN'T like that she was a picky eater so I wanted something that was known for having good feeding responses. I chose a red tailed boa and I am SOOO glad I did! She is a perfect 2nd snake for me!
Hope this helps you!

Well to be honest boa care is hardly different from a bp. its honestly just size.. but that in itself can be a problem:/
however, sticking with bps is definitly not a bad idea because in my opinion they are the funnest, most practical to keep do to their size and temperment, and have endless morph possibilities.

I definitely would not jump into buying Retics or anything of that size. That's an incredible amount of responsibility and financial commitment. I also assume you are living with your parents, considering your age, so be sure whoever you are living with is okay with anything larger than a Ball Python if that is what you are considering purchasing. Other than research, setting up an enclosure prior to purchasing the animal, and being sure you know what the potential size is that the animal can reach, it's all up to what you prefer appearance-wise.
Good luck!
