Killerbees hatch out with a light grey pattern and appear hypomelanistic, whereas bumblebees hatch out with bold black pattern.

Personally I would pick up another male to breed to your spider female. You have a bumblebee (pastel & spider) male so sell the pastel male and pick up a pin or mojave or fire and breed that to your spider female then you could keep any double gene females you produce and breed those to the bee. You have the possibility of some super crazy stuff down the road with that option.
But what ever you decide do so because you like the cross and have fun!

Re: ? breeding bumblebee X spider?
I bred a bee x bee and bee x spider this year and both girls are currently gravid. I didnt know it at the time but a 'super spider' if you will, is a fatal gene combo so you're throwing out a certain percentage (25%) of your clutch by taking a spider combo to a spider. Im replacing my male bee this year with another male, he'll be down on the table in Indy on the 27th. Thinking about getting a pastel butter pin!
And id just like to say that genetics calculator is SWEET!
