    2. Police Officers generally dislike tinted windows because it prevents them from seeing the occupants in the vehicle. Someone inside the car could be aiming a gun at him without him knowing it.
Both are very valid reasons, and the 2nd is totally understandable. Every time I was pulled over in that car I rolled the window down as soon as I was stopped. Not that it helped much, but at least he could feel a bit safer about walking up to the car. It's just frustrating that I had it for 5 years, and I only had a few weeks left before I sold it! lol.

Well, I'm a MP in the Army. I honestly hate giving tickets and can't wait to be out of law enforcement. I got yelled at for only writting 6 tickets in 18 months. I told them I don't feel right wasting my time while writing tickets. I prefer to just flip my lights on and off and watch people slam on their brakes. That amuses me.....lol! Also, I speed so I can't write a ticket for it. So, you can ride around me and speed with dark windows and I won't write you a ticket! But, the weather here in Washington really sucks!

I have 20%. It's super dark. It is technically illegal. Never had a problem. We're ghetto enough around here that they have better things to do

I always checked the legal tint % before I did any of my cars, and just stayed legal.

Not worth even one ticket, or the wasted money to take it off if I was told to.

I rented a car from less than well known agency out of ft. lauderdale, drove to North Georgia by way of Alabama, the car had very dark tint, I got pulled over in South Ga coming back to Fl in Sept. Hot Hot Hot, cop said he pulled me for swerving in my lane, I told him "yeah, there is debris in the road", he asked to search the car, I thought about it hmmmmm.... car loaded down with clothes, shoes women stuff etc., 100+ temps.... sure I said took him 40 minutes to go thru car, looked like someone doused him with a hose. He wanted to give me a ticket for the tint, I told him it was a rental and he could take it up with the agency.

This town is anything but ghetto, so I guess I was an easy target I'm pretty sure this town scares away anyone who isn't white, republican, and/or rich. The one "african american" that lives in town is our neighbor, went to school with my fiance, and is adopted. That's how bad this town is! I even took down my window sticker that said "every time a republican dies a gay angel gets their wings" lol-sorry republicans! People weren't very friendly to me and always talked about "that gay girl" in hushed voices around me

Yeah I knew it was illegal, but police were pretty lenient so I wasn't terribly worried.

If I didn't live in a town of ~2,000 people I would consider it! Although, a ticket is $70 the first time and just a couple of those would be about what I paid to have them done!

Don't you think that if you continually get pulled over for the same thing that perhaps it's time to change what you're doing? I guess if you really love your tint, maybe it's worth it to you, but I just don't see why you'd want to invite the cops to bother you.
