No sorry it is a vision enclosure they have a molded light space that is what you are seeing. It has a perforated steel grid on it.

The top one is a sly plastics and the bottom one is one I built.

I am just starting out with BP's so here is my very first tank.

No Bp in there yet. I wanted to get it all set up and running smoothly before I put one in there. But I did go down and pay for my BP today and will be picking it up Tuesday.

The hides are two plastic saucers I got from home depot and then I got some fake plants and hot glued them all around it to make it look a little more realistic then some plastic bowl sitting in the tank.

The back and sides are covered with black construction paper. I may update that later but for now it will do.

@Jeffrey: That's so awesome!! It looks great, and I'm loving the hot-gluing idea...hmm...

Oh, and you might try posterboard, or black contact paper. I know many use the contact paper, I use posterboard...a little more cutting, but much fewer seams and less tape.

    Hides?

Hey guys...for those of you who use tubs and racks....can you post pics of your hides? I use 15qt, 32qt, and 60qt tubs....I bought some hides from reptilebasics....love the design, hate the sizes. The "small" is too small for my young juvies.....and the "medium" doesn't fit in a 15Qt tub (will fit sideways...but not with a waterbowl too....) And the "large" fit nicely in a 32qt tub.....but my 2 large females (1600+ grams) won't fit in them....and the next size up "X-L" is way too big.......

I used to have a ton of the rock hides when I had tanks (the fancy rock-cave looking ones) but they are super heavy and hard to clean....i love the plastic hides that i can just stick in the dishwasher....but I can't find any that fit my tubs.....suggestions? thank you!

Oh PS.....I understand when using tubs/racks you don't "need" hides.....but ALL of my snakes except for one female ALL LOVE their hides.....which is why I am looking so hard to find some that fit. thank you!

Most of mine dont use hides. I use some cardboard snack boxes like a cheezit or poptart box for the pickier ones.
