Here's mine: Went to junior high with Kim Caldwell (a girl that lost on American Idol but later became miss TV guide, hah). Good friends with the artist who is responsible for Adult Swim TV shows (creating Aqua Teen Hunger Force characters and background art, Squidbillies background art.. along with past employment at major networks) My husband is an ex-bmx rider and made friends with a lot of pro bmx guys. He was never pro. He didn't want to pay for further injuries!
So? Anybody else?
i'm watching adult swim right now! i do voice overs, think he can get me work doing cartoon voices?

Pam Melroy
Not exactly a household name, but..
- Air Force Colonel
- Flew combat in Just Cause (Panama) and Desert Shield/Desert Storm.. I THINK she flew AC-130s in Iraq but I can't remember for sure, just seem to remember it was a low, slow-flying gunship
- Air force test pilot
- NASA shuttle pilot
- Second ever female NASA shuttle mission commander
I got to see her launch back in October 2007 from the closest outdoor viewing platform, the family got an invite
I'm also a descendant of TWO American Revolution generals (one on each side of the war, interestingly, one a direct descendant and the other some kind of great-great-great....-great uncle), and I have a direct ancestor in the original founding Jamestown colony.

A good childhood and still close friend is on The Deadliest Catch. We have a lot of crab fisherman out of Seattle. He's been crazy his whole life. Good guy though. We hang out all the time still.

Re: Famous Friends
Time for some name dropping, LOL! I have many "famous connections," due mostly to my father and sister - who both work/ed in rather high-profile jobs. I also know a few celebs more randomly, either from my old ice skating days or just living in the Bay Area. Here are some that come to mind...
Alicia Silverstone - We took semi-private ballet classes together, and also belonged to a local community theater. I hate to say it, but she was not my favorite person... let's just say, her character in "Clueless" wasn't a far stretch.
Brian Boitano, Kristi Yamaguchi, Debi Thomas, Rudy Galindo, etc - All part of the '80s figure skating scene, which I was a part of for 10ish years. We're still in close touch with Debi & Kristi, who are both the nicest people EVER.
Various San Francisco 49ers (including coaches & the owner), Mia Hamm, and Brandi Chastain - Met or associated with them through my sister, and I actually started dating a former player recently. He will remain unnamed for now.
Jesse McCartney (the pop singer) - My step-brother is very good friends with him, and he's been to a few of our family functions. Such a sweet guy!
Vanessa Williams, Arnold Schwarzenegger, most of the Shriver family, Johnny Knoxville, the Farrelly brothers, and a few more random folks - All connected through my father, and his work with the Special Olympics.

I play World of Warcraft with the guy from these commercials:
It'sBobWeHadABabyIt'sABoy (Anybody else remember it? =))
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9JxhTnWrKYs He's the one calling his parents.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7yUtwqWLlc4 ump
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ew9cEATPzDE runs into elevator naked. He said they rented out one floor for the commercial, and to make the shot work, he had to run into the elevator and go down a floor.... which was not rented out.. so the people downstairs got to see a naked man. haha.
That's about as exciting as my famous acquintances go.

Who? I love Deadliest Catch and used to live in Alaska! I could never do what they do, but I'd be happy even going a couple miles out on a salmon boat, but my wife says no way in hell.
I'm somehow related to the actor, Anthony Rapp (Dazed and Confused, Road Trip). Never met him, not really a fan of him.
I went to school with Brett Keisel (#99 Pittsburgh Steelers) and his mom, Connie, was one of my teachers and a family friend. Man my sister had a crush on him and my mom, who is a nurse used to rub it in her face that she has given him many shots in the butt. Haha! I vividly remember when our high school school guidence counseler told Brett, when he was playing for the Greybull Buffaloes, that he should give up his dream of becoming an NFL player and he should focus on a REAL future. Brett is a millionaire living out his dream right now while our old guidence counselor is eating crow.
I know Adam and Alex Rydlinski, Nick Forkel and Jason Hippert (ex TN) from Turbid North. My old band used to open for them a lot back home in Alaska when they first started out and we would often jam together and party on occasion. Adam is one of the coolest guys you'll ever meet and one hell of a drummer. Jason is pretty cool too, he was my manager at a Blockbuster I once worked at. Thats how we originally met. I miss these guys!
