I'm really surprised at this thread. I've never seen this community be so nasty.

I'm glad the beardie found a new home. He's hopefully now out of a dangerous situation. OP, I'm glad you decided to find him a good home rather than try to hide him. He wouldn't have lived a good life that way.

I don't think people were nasty, they were just trying to drive home the point that this was not the best thing to do. Everything about what he did was wrong to a lot of people.

There is also no proof that it went to a good home. Just because you charge money doesn't mean the animal will be well taken care of. It's usually cheaper to get things off of craigslist, so it's possible it's still not in the best home.

Yes, I'm likely just being naive. I have that problem sometimes.

I don't really believe this is anything more than trolling anyways. I just haven't seen anything other than helpful posts since I've been a member and people typically seem to avoid judging others on anything other than animal care.

This is just kid stuff, someone who's tired of making mommy cry because he's such a "good boy, really and he didn't mean it."

The other kids, while they CAN identify the troll, cannot yet resist the urge to feed it despite the fact that they themselves continue that which they claim to so dislike. In their misguided efforts to oust the unpleasant squatter they over-indulge in that newly found and oh-so-wonderful hormone testosterone. For many of the posters to which group those of whom you expressed displeasure belong, it is their first foray into the world with their newfound but misunderstood strength.

Some will catch on and stop feeding the little bugger. Others will think they can single handedly vanquish this loathsome foe, much to the dismay of those of us who witness these often trite, mundane forays into witty banter.

This type of thing is also a good indicator of the type of inner workings different people have.

Of course, interpreting those indicators, which can, and often do, appear different to each interpretor, can be tricksy. Very very tricksy.
I may not be very smart, but what if I am?

    Hi,

I think everything that needs to be said in this thread already has been.

I'm going to lock it and allow it to fall into the obscurity it deserves.
