    Talking Baby Rainbow Boa Unboxing Vid

    So, being the indecisive person I am, I decided against a rosy boa and went with a Brazilian rainbow boa instead. They've always been my favorite type of boa I just got him today, but unfortunately because of where I live he didn't arrive until around 4pm, and was pretty stressed out. He's only a little more than 3 months old, and is from a Pearl x High Orange pairing. He's just beautiful, and A LOT smaller than I thought he would be!

    He did bite me once, but I'm sure it's just because he was scared. I know I wouldn't be in the best mood if I was jostled and thrown around for 21 hours, so I'm sure he'll be fine once he calms down. Thanks to Aubrey Ross of Slipstream Serpents!! <3 She's just awesome to deal with, very friendly and nice, and I was impressed by how warm and secure the little guy was in the package. I can't recommend her highly enough!!

    Now comes the long week of waiting to handle him!! Sorry the vid just kind of cuts off at the end, as you can see he started squirming and I just wanted to get him into his enclosure. He went and hid right away and hasn't come out yet haha Expect some pics soon!!

    It definitely is!! I was really anxious all day, I sat outside for most of it and got a nice tan waiting for the white truck It must get easier if you order online all the time, because I have to say that it was nerve-wracking today haha

    I had my first snakes shipped to me at the end of March and it was the most stressful night I think I've ever had. The night time temps dropped to 22 and they were cold when they arrived. My hands were shaking so much that I had trouble opening the bags. Every shipment since has been less stressful, but I don't ever want to recieve another reptile when the night temps drop below 40.

    I'm glad he arrived safely.

    Congratulations on your first Brazilian Rainbow Boa. They're definitely one of my favorite types of snakes and make wonderful pets. As long as you have an enclosure set up with limited ventilation and a large water bowl, you shouldn't have any problem maintaining high humidity. It'll be great to see some pictures after you give him time to settle in. Take care.

    Thanks everyone!! He finally came out last night and explored a little, such a cutie.

    @Moonlight Boas
    Yup, he's currently sitting at around 90% humidity. Thanks for the tips! You have some amazing BRBs on your site!!
