Re: Do you see a kink?
What I'm reading here is that the other party is disappointed in discovering a small kink that neither of you know about until after the trade. She probably discovered it through feeling the spine and now that she knows it's there she sees it. If she planned to breed the snake she now has the dilemma of whether or not to breed a snake she knows is not perfect. Some key points here are:
1) You were not aware of any kinking and did not intentionally deceive her.
2) Since you drove to complete this deal, I'm assuming you met in person and she had the opportunity to inspect the animal for any defects before parting company and considering it a done deal.
It's probably no-win situation for either of you so try not to get too defensive or upset and I wish you both the best in working it out.

The trade was made in person and she played with the snake for about 10 minutes and loved him. Three days later I got the email!

yeah that alone would make me question her character. she inspects it for at least ten minutes and completes the transaction. even if there is a small kink that neither of you noticed before, its like test driving a used car and having it checked out by a mechanic, if you or the mechanic find nothing wrong with it that day but then it rains weeks later and you find you have a hole in the roof lining of your new convertible there's not much you can do. lmao.

I sent her the link to this thread, then I talked to her and she does not want to trade but but said it would have been nice to know! She said it's hard to capture on a pic but in person it is obvious. She also asked me if I had any more morphs to sell so I don't think she thinks the I intentionally scammed her and that was my biggest concern because I don't want that kind of rep! I got some eggs baking that I plan to sell! Thanks everyone for your help!!!

Based on the pictures provided, I don't see any kinks, and i have had the opportunity to see some severely kinked animals and some not so severely kinked animals in person as well as in pictures.
I'd also ask for additional images with the supposed kink well documented, either by labeling or video or whatever.
IF it were me, I'd get better documentation of the kink, and if its actually there provide a partial refund. It can be chalked up to a newbie type mistake, but if someone doesn't know how to look over an animal for a healthy specimen I most likely won't be offering any animals to them in the future. The bigger problem is; is the kink something the animal hatched with, or did it happen while it was in the care of the keeper? Prime example: My first snake, as a hatchling was perfect, until I snagged her tail in the lid of her cage. Now she's got a bump on the end of her tail (you can't see it since she's 2000 something grams, but I know its there). It doesn't show up in pictures either.

It was a trade so there would be nothing to partially refund. I traded a Mojave Male and a Pinstripe Male for her Albino Male. I offered to reverse the trade but she said no she still wants the snakes! I bought them off of a very reputable local breeder that I don't think would sell me a defective animal since we do alot of business together and I had the Mojave for 4 months and never noticed a kink. It took her 3 days to notice it. It may have happened in her care, I don't know! In the end, everyone is happy!!!
