New Pastel Ball Python!
He is an early phase pastel, with really bright coloring (creamy yellow and black). I bought him at pets galore in Louisville, KY. He is 4 foot long and about 1000-1100g, he is gonna be a great breeder. 
I'm super excited!
Coloubrids: (Florida King Snake 0.1)
Pythons: (Pastel Ball Python 1.0)
Lizards: (Mali Uromastyx 1.0)
Other: (Chihuahua 1.0)

7 adult Royals (2.5), 1.0 COS Pastel, 1.0 Enchi, 1.1 Lesser platty Royal python, 1.1 Black pastel Royal python, 0.1 Blue eyed leucistic ( Super lesser), 0.1 Piebald Royal python, 1.0 Sinaloan milk snake 1.0 crested gecko and 1 bad case of ETS. no wife, no surprise.

One of the earlier types of pastel from the beginning of pastel breeding.

Eh?
The early days was when the various animals that founded the lines got imported and established ( NERD, Bell, Graziani etc ) - I have never heard of "early phase".
Someone is either explaining things to you in a strange way or talking out of their bum.
It might be a good idea to post some pics.
