    Actually, the color it appears in the picture is the color it was in person. Incredibly bluish-grey with gold! When I pointed out that it appeared to be a shimmering gold, the man I was talking to (Warren), even admitted he had just noticed that. LOL. I can not for the life of me remember what locality it was, but I'm sure if you e-mail someone at the SoCal Herp Association & Rescue with the picture they can tell you. I do remember Warren telling me it was found on the side of a road, but he's almost positive it was an escaped selectively bred Rosy that appeared to be a cross between two different localities. I wish the pictures came out clearer, they don't do him justice. This little guy was STUNNING. Practically black and blue, with a dark bluish and black belly. Sweet as can be, too.

    This was barely half of the pictures I took There was such a wide variety of herps.. Much more than last year!
