Just a suggestion.

Belly heat under everything to avoid RI problems heating the whole room is not enough.

You can keep the whole room warm but you will still need some 3 or 4" flex watt under each tub. just a helpful suggestion to keep you from running into any problems.

I know a few bp breeders personally who heat the hole room with success. I only put a couple nails on the backs though just in case I want to add heat tape. I'll see how it goes.

I'm planning on heating the whole room with a 1500 watt oil filled heater hooked up to a thermostat. I ran 11" flex watt back heat on one of the baby racks before I decided on heating the whole room.

I run 3" flex watt tape on my office rack as belly heat and it works great on 41qt tubs.

If the whole room is heated to a certain temp. how do your snakes thermoregulate? They won't be able to move to a cooler side.

Depending on where the probe and heater are located it is possible to create a temperature variance in a room. It is not going to be as extreme as a cage with bottom heat, but if set up right can be a difference of 3-5 degrees.

The trick with heating the whole room is finding the temperature that works.

I know that vpi's book states that they keep their subadult and growing ball pythons at 80-82 degrees without any supplemental heat.
