Usually when temps are dropped that drastically with no hot spot it leads to issues and the first things that would likely happen would be that your BP would stop eating.

Keep your temps constant 24/7 year round.

Ball pythons don't need a night time temperature drop, and especially if you're just keeping them as pets it's best for you to just keep the temperature the same at all times.
