I know more people who keep their adults in 41 qt tubs. The 41 qt tub is pretty much the gold standard when it comes to adult ball pythons.
I'm still waiting to hear your thoughts on this.........they were promised but never came.

I keep all my females over 1500g in CB-70's. I can't imagine keeping the big girls in anything smaller.
I keep all sub adult females and adult males in 32 qt sweaterbox racks.

I have kept adult females in both 32 and 41 quart tubs. I prefer 41 quart tubs over 32 quart tubs personally, but believe that the balls do not care one-way-or-the-other. I have successfully bred them in both, and did not notice them becoming stressed in either.

What are the reasons for the downsizing? I have some 7-800 gram (and growing) bps in my cb70s and they're doing perfectly fine.

I use 41q tubs for my female breeders that are over 2,000 grams. My sub-adults, breeder males and breeder females under 2,000 grams are in 26q tubs. Works great for me.

A cage that a snake thrives in is the right size for it.. no more complex of an answer needed. You probably already know that plenty of people use 32qts as well as 41qts. Despite all online suggestions to the contrary, you can keep ball pythons in 55 gallon screen-top aquariums if you do it right, and they will be happy and live long lives.
