    A lot on my mind

As the title says, i have a lot on my mind. I have several big things coming up and recently went through a very recently finished with my whole cancer thing. (Another reason to be healthy, being fat causes cancer, I know!) Anyway, I will be released to go back to work next week, so I'm looking for a new job, I will be moving as soon as I start working again, and then stress of living with my less than sane mother. I've been having the worse stress dream/nightmares. My first one and most frequent dream is where a family member is trying to deep fry my Leopard Gecko, then theres the one where I have moved but can't afford to feed the animals and my dogs have wasted away to nothing, and my least favorite (because I've been doing a lot of reading on them lately) I come home to a room full of snakes, all in their water bowls but dead... I know its all about stress, I'm about to make some big life style changes, move out on my own (completely on my own, last time I moved out I lived with my ex, then a friend, then moved back home because of the cancer) And now I'm job hunting, I know everything will settle down in a few weeks once I'm working and settled into my new place, and have all of my animals in one place again.

I guess i just needed to vent, I do feel a little better now.

Good luck on a job. The market still sucks, but if you're willing to move anywhere in the country, you're able to cast your net pretty wide and have a much better shot than if you're not willing to move

Re: A lot on my mind

I already have an apartment lined up and I'm in the medical field, so it shouldn't be too hard for me to find work, I just find the whole interview process stressful. lol

That is a lot to go through no wonder you are stressed! Not to sound like a therapist or anything, but I have some stress issues as well and I find that writing before I go to bed helps lower what my brain thinks at night (messed up dreams, etc). It doesn't even have to be specific, it doesn't even have to make sense. Sometimes I just doodle and it helps. I couldn't imagine going through and beating cancer, that alone is enough to make someone's stress go through the roof. Hang in there, I don't know you from a hole in the wall, but I've found this site to be a very tight knit community, almost family, and I'm sure people here are with me when I say I'm here for you if you need help. Good luck with your life changes!

I used to draw, and was really good at it, so I might try that again.

That sounds like more than enough for a group of people, let alone and individual, but like LGray said, there are some AWESOME people on here that would support you in most any way and help however they could. Hang in there! I hear ya' on the stressing crap...it's a pile o' fun, that! Best analogy I ever heard was to think of it like a dinner plate with a serving of each item. Divide it into portions and take it one bite at a time, rather than trying to eat everything at once, so to speak. Basically just take the issues as the come and don't try to tackle everything at once as there's no humanly way to do that. Lol! I realize how hokey that is but the analogy made a lot of sense to me when it was explained to me that way, lol!

I'm sorry things aren't better for you but I'm thrilled for you that you kicked the big C! That's awesome and I sincerely hope things keep looking up for you and coming your way. Hang in there and good luck!

Re: A lot on my mind

This will be the first time I will be all on my own, I think thats the most daunting part and causing the most stress. I am trying to look on the bright side of things and I am really excited to be getting my own place. I will definitely be taking the next couple of months just one bite at a time.

Good for you, Dexter! I remember moving out of my parents place after a huge blowout and how much stress that was, while trying to finish my degree and find a place to live and...! Like you said, one day/bite at a time and just keep chugging away at it.

I will be moving in a few weeks! I'm so excited!

I start working on Monday, and I have an interview for another (much better) job on Tuesday. Things are not only looking up for me, but its like a huge weight has been lifted from my shoulders. Now i can start my bp collection.
