Did you check to see if the breeder with the hets has any paperwork on them, or did you run his name on the BOI section of FaunaClassified? I don't think the pastel male is a super.... It all comes down to what you really want.

The male pastel possible super looks to me like a regular old pastel, no super. As far as the hets - you have to trust him on that and because you don't know him. So that leaves the pastel female het for pied. I'd grab her if she is, indeed, het. At 350 grams, I'm guessing she's a mid/late 2010 girl? She'll probably be up to size and breeding in 2012 if she's a good eater.
There are a LOT of snakes available at any given time. Look on kingsnake.com. Buy the animals you like and want to work with not because they're a good deal but because you like them the best. You'll be happier in the long run. Of course, if you trust him, those could be good deals
Just my two cents

The male pastel is not a super, even in shed. And on the female you can see the brown line where she's going to turn dark.
With the hets, without proof they may be normals. Do you trust the guy? Can you verify the parents of the animals were visual pieds at some point?

I did ask if he could provide genetic guarantee of some kind. Either paperwork or offspring. He said no, because he got the het pair after their first clutch and no on the paperwork. I have not checked his name but I will. Ya, I'm starting to think the male isn't a super either after really looking at the picture.
Thanks again for your advice!

Great advice! Really I want a pied... but I know how pricey they can be. So I was really looking at the het pair, but again... that seems like a gamble.

As for the male pastel... that's just what I was told, so I'd figure I'd add that info. But I do agree he's not a super like the guy might think. He said it may be a possible super, but he bought him as a pastel.
What does the brown line mean on the female? Just that over time she will get darker?
Thanks for your opinion and help!
