Haha I really do love watching them eat though! My family thinks I'm insane. I told my brother in-law about this little mess and he was disgusted.
I guess some people are just not snake people.

Here is a link to my Tokay feeding video just in case you were interested.

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q8tfNG-NP6g

I got her as a rescue and was VERY thin and sick looking, in this video she is still a little thing but is now nice and "fat".

Yes I have had one before. I once had a rotten f/t mouse and oh my gosh.... You will never forget that smell. Never again. Also I once thawed out a frozen rat too quickly and you could just see the gut expanding and I was like "Whoa, definitely not going to give that to my bp to cause a huge mess" Yea you have to be careful because it's easy to thaw out a rat too quickly and then you have a HUGE mess on your hands.

How could you tell the mouse was rotten? I thawed one out a couple weeks ago that looked sort of black/dark green under the skin.. I wasn't sure if that was just some guts or if it was bad so I threw it away.

Thanx for posting this I am so glad I saw in a picture rather than In my BP's feeding box! I now know to defrost slowly I had just been putting the F/T right in warm to hot water! I really hope this never happens to me

Lol, oh this picture pales in comparison to the mouse itself as my bp dragged it across his box. The mouse was no longer white. Completely red! >_<
