    Hi,

    It's not a clear cut issue sadly.

    If you heat them too much they "cook" which weakens the tissue and if you have some that got defrosted before or if you leave them out too long they decompose which also weakens the tissue.

    There is a definate golden zone that defrosts without cooking and before they rot enough to split.

    There is, however, not much you can do if the supplier you got them from had already allowed them to partially defrost and begin to decompose.
