    Actually i have found this to be the complete opposite. That when you thaw them to fast they burst. Take a frozen rodent. Put it in hot water. It will thaw fast but will be really "mushy" so to say. And will easily bust open. Where if u slowly defrost for a longer period of time its more likely not to.
