I haven't been able to read much for pleasure since college started, but I'm always a sucker for Tolkien

I'm in the same boat as you are. I used to read all the time before I started college, but it is tough now. I just started reading again lately though. I make sure all of my school work is done first though, so it takes me a while to get though a book. It will be finished with college in less than a year! I can’t wait.

I read as often as possible. Right now I am reading Lisa Gardner Live to tell. I read all her books, James Patterson, Stephen King, and Dean Koontz.

I have never read Lisa Gardner, but I do love James Patterson, Stephen King, and Dean Koontz. My favorite by Stephen King is the Dark Tower series, and Odd Thomas by Dean Koontz.

Stephen king has been my fav since i can remember! just recently finished reading under the dome...love dean koontz too!

Have you read Insomnia by Stephen King? That is a really good one.

I've read the Hobbit and the LOTR trilogy. Great read that the movie dosent do justice. Another trilogy that is well written and has a poor film counterpart is Robert Ludlums Bourne trilogy! If you like those you will love Van Lusterbaters' Bourne books which pick up after the original Ludlum books.

I read the Hobbit and the first LOTR book, but never did read the last two. I have been planning on reading them, but never got the chance. I do love Robert Ludlums Bourne trilogy! Those were great books. Much better than the movies, as usual.

I like anything Sci-Fi.

Stephen King, Dean Koontz, Anne Rice, etc.

My all time favorite book ? Oh lord I can't possibly pick one, there is just no way.

Currently reading the Time-Life Enchanted World Series. Picked up the 15 book set off Ebay in near perfect condition for under $8 a book!

I love Anne Rice. I have read quite a few of her vampire series. I heard she is a Christian now, and is writing books about Christ’s early days. I haven’t read any though, but heard they are really good reads.

I just finished up the Dark Tower series. Working on The Stand right now.

The Dark Tower series is amazing. I wish they would make a movie series out of them…

Really? How are you liking it so far? I just finished The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo this weekend and really enjoyed it; I think Larsson is a great writer. I'm thinking about checking out the sequels, but I'm always hesitant about sequels to good books.

I love them, so far. I have seen all the movies, so I pretty much know what's going to happen, but they are still great. I was surprised how much they have left out of the second book, in the movie. The first hundred pages, or so, wasn't in the movie at all. From the movies, the Dragon Tattoo was my favorite, and most likely will be with the books, as well. They are very suspenseful and intriguing.

I'm into the classic authors. Like H.G. Wells, Jules Verne, Emily Bronte, Alexandre Dumas. However Tolkien is the man. I've read most of his books. The books are far better than the movie. But I do like the movies as well.

Although I haven't read the book, I loved the movie 2009 version of the movie Wuthering Heights. I have been planning on picking up the book.

Haven't gone out and gotten new books in a long time. However my three favorite series are the Eragon series by Christopher Paolini, The Maximum Ride series by James Patterson, and the Ranger's Apprentice series by John Flanagan. They're all pretty easy to read but they keep me entertained.
I think I have 1, 2, 3, 4, and 6 of the Ranger's Apprentice, read the three Eragon books that are currently out but only own the first, and own all of the Maximum Ride books. Haven't read all of Max, or started Fang. And my brother literally just walked in with Angel as I was writing this. I'm re-reading the series right now, and I'm currently in School's Out- Forever.

If you like Maximum Ride, I highly suggest reading the first in the series, When the Wind Blows. It is by far the best in the series, IMO, and is my favorite book.
