    I suspect that Lukestimp meant to say that you are "wrong" regarding normals "will not produce morphs". If you breed a normal to a codom or dominant (pastel,spider,mojave,lesser etc....) you WILL likely end up with approximately 50% visual MORPHS despite the male (or female) being a normal. You appear to be correct regarding breeding recessives. Both male and female would have to either be visual for a the same morph or at the very least BOTH would need to be Het to have a chance at producing a visual morph.
