    Regurgitation

    Well,

I was talking to my breeder and he was suggesting that we up the feeder on my female, so we tried to do so.. She got it about 2/5 down and spat it back up.

Does this classify as an official regurgitation? Should I be waiting 2 weeks to try to feed again. Or should I see if she will eat right away.

I'm not here to get flamed, I understand that it is my responsibility to make sure the feeders are the right size, and my end decision when its time for her to move up.

I just want to know when I should feed her again?

I don't consider it a regurgitation unless the prey makes it to the stomach. So, if your snake never fully swallowed it, I would just wait until the next scheduled feeding day before offering prey again...

Okay, I'll leave her alone until then. I was kinda hoping I could switch her over to tub feeding soon, but I'll let her have it normally next week, to ensure optimal conditions. My male is too shy for tub feeding ATM

It's not an agression thing, I'd just like to switch to coconut or something that retains moisture better. Is it safe to use fine ground stuff?

I wouldnt consider it a regurg either.
We use fine aspen and eco-earth but I also feed in separate clean tanks.

Well I'm just trying to find something that holds moisture better.. Right now I'm using Aspen.

If I were to use plexi glass on top the tank leaving 1/5 open, is it safe to put an infrared light onto the glass.

It will melt/blister, you would be better using glass.

How much heat do you have in the tank? I have found that straight eco-earth (coco) can hold in WAY too much humidity way too long

Well it's a 3x2x2 PVC tank for my boa. Have 1/3 on the bottom in flexwatt. The coco is fine for a few days until it starts drying out. I'll mist it everyday just to keep the humidity where it needs to be. Looking for something else to try that's cheap.

    Well, no feed once again.

I need to change her substrate but I don't want to stress her. Do I wait?
