He's an adult 5 years old. Really beautiful too. He was just kinda thrown into the package bc he was a problem feeder. Hadn't eaten for 6 months at that point, and the guy was like ahhh ya he's a ghost nothing special. I think he has a really cool acid wash look to him. Plus I'm always up for a challenge. Turns out he wasn't a challenge at all bc the very next day he ate a md rat no problem. Sooo I don't know what that was about. I'm interested in potentially doing honey bees and I was under the impression that it takes an orange ghost to complete the desired affect. I'm happy to keep him either way. But since the guy had no clue I was wondering if there were any hue clues that maybe I'm not catching with him. I've also noticed that the o. Ghosts have a really orangey tint to them. But I've seen butterscotch, blue, orange, and green hypos so I didn't know if there was something specific each line had or if im totally over thinking. If anyone could clarify or if I'm making things way to complex let me know. Thx

Basically when you see "butterscotch" or "green" or "orange" in front of Ghost or Hypo, it just means that that's the tint it's got. You hit the nail on the head with the orange comment, that's exactly how it goes.

Now don't take this as set in stone because I attempted to research what exactly goes on. I have no hands on experience.

Orange, yellow, butterscotch are all the standard normal hypo, color describing the tint the animal has.

green seem to be up in the air, someone claimed they have successfully bred a green to a standard hypo and proved them compatible but a lot of other info says they are not compatible. so i don't know if there are different lines of green hypo? i found it hard to get answers

everyone seems to be in agreement that blue hypo is not compatible and is its own morph.

Yeah, I've heard some ghost lines weren't compatible as well, so it could potentially matter what line he is. I'm no good with ghosts, so I can't say anything more than that.

incompatible lines seem to be so rare, you'd hit the jackpot finding out you had a different line and made double hets. frustrating at first but id like that to happen lol

    Re: Calling all ghost experts!

Nice looking ghost you got looks a lot like my adult male orange ghost, they tend to start out a lot more orange when they're a hatchling and get paler as they get bigger here's a pic of mine for a reference

The Matrix is a system, Neo. That system is our enemy. But when you're inside, you look around, what do you see? Businessmen, teachers, lawyers, carpenters. The very minds of the people we are trying to save. But until we do, these people are still a part of that system and that makes them our enemy. You have to understand, most of these people are not ready to be unplugged. And many of them are so inured, so hopelessly dependent on the system, that they will fight to protect it.

    Re: Calling all ghost experts!

You won't be able to tell what line it is by the way it looks, it is most likely either a Orange Ghost, a Yellow Ghost or a Butterscotch Ghost which ever one it is it doesn't matter to much as they are all compatible! We have over 30 Ghost/Ghost combos and all of them but one is an Orange Ghost the other one is a Yellow Ghost but it looks exactly the same as all of our others.
    Hope that helps a little.
