It's winter in Minnesota, and we've had so much snow both in late 2010 and this start to 2011 that Minneapolis is running out of funds to clean up the roads, so there's really only one thing on my mind..

I want to go to Florida, nap or read a book on the beach in 80 degree sunny weather with a light breeze, while I wait for a fish to come by and chomp some bait I've got soaking in the ocean

It may not be super exotic, but yeah.. that's what I've got on my mind, sharks and sun in Florida.

While we don't have the winter weather or snow that Minnesota does, we aren't exactly basking in the sunshine lately.. Our crazy weather is up to the 60s some days and back down to the 30s others.. There have been several nights where we have been in the low 20s, which is COLD if you ask me!

Oh, and there's no sharks here, ever.. I wouldn't be here if so.. I have a fear of sharks.. It's all a media conspiracy to create mass hysteria Don't let them fool ya! LOL

If you've been in the ocean deeper than 2 feet of water, anywhere in the Gulf of Mexico, particularly during May through August, you've likely been within a hundred feet of a shark, if not much MUCH closer.

    A few of my catches:

All were caught within 100 feet of shore, in less than 6 feet of water.

This is what I want to go after, but I really need a kayak for bait placement(and I need to be there in summer when big sharks are more abundant close to shore):

That particular video was taken on Sanibel, where my grandparents spend the winter months, and where I get to swim regularly.

Lucky for me I've never been in the Gulf

Jax is on the east coast.. As for those pics, just means that the media is getting better about planting false evidence of sharks in my state's waters

I've always wanted to visit Antarctica, and see the penguins & other Arctic creatures... not gonna see any reptiles down there, I imagine. But I've already been to the Costa Rican rainforest, Australia, and a few other herp-heavy regions, so it's time to see something else! I'd also love to do a safari in central Africa, which is kind of a given for most animal folks.

Do you mean Eilat? If so, I've actually been there... it's a beautiful town, and definitely worth visiting.
