    Double Het??

I bought a group of babies over the summer.
    1. Albino 66% het pied
    1. 66% het pied/ albino
    .4 66% het pied/ albino
The breeder told me that he is starting to notice a color difference in the double hets when you compare them to a single het or normal. Has anyone ever heard of this?

I have 2 females that are a totally different color than the other 2. 3 out of the 4 females have full belly markers. I have 2 females from one clutch and 2 from an unrelated clutch. The 2 females that look different are sisters so it could be genetic that they look different.

Here is one of the girls (About 500 grams)

    Close up

Her next to one of the unrelated 66% double het girls to show the color difference.

I have a double het pied/albino male, and het pied girls. The double het is definitely a different color than the girls. With each shed the male gets lighter and lighter. I need to get a new group shot done with them. He started out the same color as the girls.

That is interesting. That is the same thing my 2 girls are doing. I would love to see a group shot of them

First thing you dont have DH. You have pos DH. What you have is a result of a DH pairing. You could possibly have normals or single hets. Only true DH is albino to pied pairing.

That's the point of the thread though, if true double hets show something that single hets or normals don't he might have a clue which ones "might" be true double hets
A lot still has to be figured out in ball python genetics
