I don't see how dos Santos is going to be any better of a coach. Being 26 years old and having a brown belt in jiu jitsu doesn't exactly inspire confidence in passing on technical knowledge. I'd take Lesnar over dos Santos as a coach on age alone, not to mention his wrestling background.

Just like everything else in life, coaching takes practice. It's going to be interesting to see how these guys handle it!

I'm glad that dos Santos didn't want to wait for Velasquez to heal up and took this fight. IMO that injury was actually lucky for the UFC's heavyweight division, it made choosing the next couple top-tier matchups easier. There would have been kind of a road block at the top if Velasquez/Santos was scheduled in the next few months, with everyone rallying against a Lesnar/Mir 3 and Carwin already coming off a loss to Lesnar.
