You could, actually. A lot of breeders will tell you what they have in their plans for the future, so they just might have a pied project that'll make some hets

Hets are everywhere, just wait. As a matter of fact i could probably buy a het in less than 10 minutes if i was looking for one. Now getting it shipped would be the issue. Then again i have a visual and multiple het pieds in my collection, and they were all extremely easy to find.
Chances are the guy isn't 100% het pied, but then again a 100% het pied male around 200 grams would be around $50 from a reputable breeder, so the price isn't too far off. Heck i just sold my 1100 gram 100% het pied male for $100 a month ago.

Either way, het or not $40 is not a bad price.

Maybe you can show some comparison pictures of your hets and normals, TIA.

With big reputations come bigger price tags. There are many "smaller" breeders you can trust with much lower prices. Just do your homework on fauna. I've seen males as low as $650. Good luck.

For $40 it isn't a bad price. He's pretty at least and looks healthy. I wouldn't call it a gamble exactly, but you could just save the $40 and put it toward a het pied pair. I've seen some being sold for $300 or so plus shipping. Look up the breeder on the BOI before sending money!

Where do you get such misinformed information?
Pied = White belly regardless of pattern.
HET Pied = I looka likea wild type. Markers dont mean as much as you want to believe.
Cant go wrong with a 40 dollar snake though, thats pennies (4000 of them). Thing is though, its not a sick deal for that price, and for barely anything extra you can get papers with your snakey. Good luck on your choice.
