Wife and I spent 8k we didnt have to give my baby girl Marley the best last couple of months of her life. She was only 5 years old and had cancer (nerve sheath). It was out of my greed and love for her that I did not put her down when she was diagnosed.
It broke my heart that only after 4 months or having the tumor removed, it started coming back. I couldnt watch her go through the pain of surgery AGAIN. Well this time it was inoperable because it was in her hip socket. We spent another 1k to have her put down, cremated, red marble urn, and ink (some of her ashes are mixed in the ink). Again this is my greed of not wanting to let her go. This past thanksgiving was exactly 1 year to the date.
I miss my baby!!!
The point to my, A.D.D., C.R.S., ramble is........................YOU CHOOSE what pets you have and it is your responsibility to take care of your animals better than you take care of yourself because it was NOT their choice to make your home theirs. Even our 15 year old son knows that their needs come before his and ours.
I can go on all day but for most it is a mute point because it is "JUST" a dog, or "JUST" a snake or "JUST" (insert your animal here) For those people, I hope that your kids learn from you. Then when you are old, and need assisted living your kid turns to you and says ya'll are "JUST" my parents.![]()
