    Re: I'm really upset...

Would there be any chance that the BPs would eat the corn if it was a lot smaller? Are there any cases of snake cannibalism? I've wondered that.. I have a normal BP and a butler garter snake which are NOT housed together or even in the same room but because of the massive size difference would that even be a risk? If my brain was sucked up by an alien (lol) and I put them in the same cage, could one eat the other? I promise I would never house them together though, this is strictly hypothetical!

I have read documented cases and have even seen pictures of ball python cannibalism. It's not pretty...

To the OP, if your friend has housed them together for this long and has been feeding them all separately, I don't think you'll have to worry about one snake eating another at this point. The general consensus is that it's a bad idea to keep multiple snakes in a single enclosure because of the POTENTIAL for stress and other problems. I'd take the previous posters' advice and try to politely direct them to this site and try to educate your friend, but do so in a manner where they don't feel personally attacked or made to feel "Wrong" for what they were likely told by someone else was perfectly acceptable.

Friendly informing is the best. I think if they are open to listening, thats a start.

I have my two normals in a 55 but there are hides all over and they get fed in their own feeding tanks. Though they are only about 16 inches right now, when i get the money to build my stand, they will have their own tanks.

I would be more worried about the corn trying to cuddle with them and getting an unintentional hug that could do internal damage?

the thing about it is this kind of person you can explain all this to they can know its wrong and they already have their minds made up....they will do itanyway and untill the animals suffer from them hitting the learning curve it wont change....
