I am trying breeding just to see if I can do it! I think it would be cool to say those are my babies and if I make money then that will go on new morphs that I couldn't otherwise afford!

I want to make my own snakes for my own collection, im not sure why some people try to make money from having over 500 babies. Even if you sell one, or 2 a day they will be juvs by the time the last are gone.
At some point it seems some people loose the hobby feeling and go career, but if this was in the dog world you'd have a puppy mill and how good are those? snakes are pets.

When i have babies from a batch i am unable to care for id sell them but not at some prices ive seen id 1/2 it and still make something on the 3 or 4 that go to new homes with happy people not any person that finds a site with some money.

And yes i would give them free as well.

I'm doing it to be able to share it with my kids. This will be the first year for us so we're all crossing fingers and everything else we can that the locks we've witnessed are all good.

I'm doing it and will be be in the negative this season. Hopefully my pastel girl goes but if not it's just a normal x normal/fire. Donating normals to NCSU herp club to help raise money so we can go on trips (herping and shows) and possibly help educate people outside of the campus itself.
I think most hobby breeders most likely either break even or are under most seasons. Mainly b/c they keep buying more snakes. haha

Its the thrill of making killer combos and hoping for crazy beautiful babies to pop out. The ones I sell are purely to maintain my expensive hobby. No one complains about a little extra cash in their pocket. Its even better when that wasn't the goal.
