This isn't a matter of an unhealthy snake, it's what you paid for, you unfortunately did not get.
Oh I did email him and told him that it wasn't a fire. He adamantly denies that it's anything but a fire.

    Nice looking boy!

To be clear, I don't think the seller intended to scam me, but that he is simply mistaken as to the identification of the morph, and unwilling to accept the possibility that he is wrong.

Yea, more the fact that he's just outright denying it! That would be very frustrating for sure.

    Re: Is this a Fire??

Below is a fresh hatchling Fire (lower left), Normal (top), and a "we think" blond Firefly or could just be a blond pastel (bottom right), but it really does not have the pastel fade line, but it is really small as it is a twin and due to pinky diet is growing very slow. (up to 39 grams!)

I don't think it's a Fire. It's not light enough and like was said by others, the belly is too heavily marked. Fires often have ringer type markings and RR tracks on the belly. That snake is much too brown with the slight orange coloration along the sides that baby normals often have.

Baby fires are much lighter than normals as babies. They may or may not lighten as they get older. Some do but most just stay the same color.

I would not trust a CL posting for a BP morph unless it was someone who is an active member on these forums and others can vouch for them.

Too many people just lurk and read certain things on here without ever joining in. Then they think they have all these morphs when they really have no clue.

    Re: Is this a Fire??

Thanks all for the input, I truly appreciate it.

The seller did just email me and said that the Fire dam is also a Black Back, could that possibly have an effect on the belly and the general coloring?
