Yeah, I'm now pretty positive of the pastel fact. Again can't be 100% sure without breeding.
Lupe brought up a good point though. If I breed her to a cinnamon, will the Pewters be even darker then they normally are? Has anyone tried selective breeding with dark and light pastels to see the different it makes in the outcomes? I have seen dark and light Bees, and personally I love the really light yellow bees, but in something like a pewter where it's not about the yellow, I'm wondering if the dark pastel is the way to go.
Even going as far as a Savannah Pewter, Silver Streak, or Silver Bullet, will a dark Pastel in the mix darken them up? I think that might be even more striking. Just a thought.

I can't speak from experience in selective breeding these guys, but I can say that IMO, light versus dark pewters are no comparison -- the really good light ones almost look like a sterling, and the dark ones turn into solid brown snakes that almost look (to me) like a patternless BP as adults (AKA "Mr. Hankey ball" ...)
It'd be an interesting breeding experiment though -- although I'm inclined to agree that trying for super dark Savannahs might be a cooler project
Neat pickup either way -- not the best color, but I really like her banded pattern!
