    I have started p90x twice and I can't seem to keep going. I swam for 11 years competitively and I got used to having a new workout twice a day. I get bored so quickly with repetitive workouts. That being said, if you can stick with it I know p90x works. I just get too bored with it. I've started working out by just carrying a heavy pack while walking my dog instead (45 lbs today). I can go on a new route everyday and avoid the boredom.

    It's a hardcore workout that's for sure! Be prepared, the first week my younger bro had to give up because he couldn't sit up out of bed in the morning hahaha. I recommened going with the bands as weights will cost you a FORTUNE. It's a lot fun and not repetitive at all! New work outs every day.

    Oh yeah and if you add a run in with the workout and your not a chubmeister (which you clearly are not) your gunna hafta up your calories huge. If not your going to be burning all the muscle off of you instead.

    Sometimes it's just not for everyone I guess, haha. But I look forwards to the results.

    Ohhhh my god, I can barely walk up and down stairs right now without being in pain! Ughh. It hurts so good! haha. If I had a recovery drink I think i'd feel a bit better but I don't.

    I cut out Cardio X and got bored with Yoga. Yoga was cool for the first 4 weeks and then the hour and a half just started boring me.

    I started running 3 days a week, and did the workout for that day on the opposite end of the day... meaning, if I did my P90x workout in the morning, I ran that night...or vice versa.

    If you're going into basic training, running is NOT something want to leave out

    I hate running with a passion, but if ya'll says it helps a lot I might have to give it a try lol I am going to do doubles with some of the work outs.

    I LOVE P90X!!!! I am on Day 31 of my 4th Round! I could go on and on about why I love it.

    First of all, you are going to get out of it what you put into it. It is HARD. The way I think of it, the harder I go, the more pain I feel, the faster and better the results are. The first 2 weeks are going to be hell if you are doing it correctly in my opinion. You shouldn't be able to get out of bed in the morning for a week or so. Make sure you are eating enough too! Whenever I start up another round I notice how my appetite spikes up during the program so it is easier to eat 4-6 big meals a day. I would say 30 days is an accurate guess as to when results will start to become noticeable, and after that you start feeling even better and looking better. Lots of my friends have seen my results and decided to start the program, but 95% of them have all quit before finishing the 3rd week due to fatigue, soreness, or time constraints. So my biggest advice to you is go harder than you think you can, especially when you don't even want to start your workout, eat more, and make time. I think you can make time for anything that you really want to do.

    My first round I started at 185lbs, athletic but soft. After the 90 days I weighed 167 lbs and had VERY low body fat %. Amazing stuff!

    Well now I am definatly more motivated! I have to agree, the more it hurts it's probably working. And yes, my whole body is in pain right now. I can barely walk up and down the stairs and move without going "Ouch". I am trying to get my diet stabalized and make sure I do the work out until i can't anymore. Since I am out of shape, and just started its kicking my ass.

    I have been debating trying p90x. I bought the insanity dvd's (by the same people that put out the p 90 x) but I really couldn't do it. By the time I was done with the warm up I couldn't move any more. My biggest problem is I like my bud light and marlboros to much!

    I heard the insanity DVDs were just as good. Well like everyone is saying its going to take your body a week or so to get used to it and your supposed to be in pain.

    I love my budlight, too. But I am giving it up for at least the first 30 days
