Re: Super Black Pastel vs. Albino BEL project?

I recently realized that I can get a similar looking snake to the albino BEL (all white, red eyes) with an albino super black pastel. They were really bad pics, but has anyone seen one in person?

Because if I can get an all black snake and an all white snake with red eyes with fewer snakes that would defs be better.

You wont be using fewer snakes.

BEL = Mojave x Mojave (Or what ever snakes you are using to create the BEL)
Super Blk Pastel = Blk Pastel x Blk Pastel

Then add the albino gene into either of those. Neither process is longer or shorter, and both are amazing snakes.

What I meant was I would be able to produce both all black snakes and all white snakes with fewer snakes, because I could do:

Black pastel x black pastel = Super Black pastels (among others)
then I could add albino and make all white snakes with red eyes by doing a similar thing to what I would have done with lessers/butters/mojaves/whatever but with snakes of the same line, so I don't have to go and get both lessers or whatever and black pastels to get both black snakes and snakes with red eyes and white skin.

Oh I get what you mean now. Dont let that discourage your Albino BEL project though. The Albino BEL I saw had a faint pinkish pattern and looked amazing. A Super Blk Pastel Albino is just pure white with red eyes.

I am playing around working toward the Super Black Albino -- discovered that my Silver Streak breeder male is Het Albino.

All the Black Pastel Albino stuff along the way will be great while working toward the super -- a nice bonus!!! Good luck!

I like the albino blue eyed leucistic myself, I found that video on the cherry bomb. Not sure I'm wild about that name but the snake is really nice. The pink highlights are pretty cool

i've seen the cherry bomb cuz i live really close to WF but trust me! theres more to meet the eye on that ball!

its got a purpleness coming in, a crazy white white white! pattern on the side thats super faded, and a solid but very faded(still noticable in person) yellow line down its spine!

    its sick trust!
