Thanks! The sides of the yard are terraced at different levels and she loves leaping up and down the walls and patrolling the fence line, weaving in and out of the bushes along the fence...it's her own personal little obstacle course.

She senses stuff out in the field too, and sometimes barks like mad at something entirely invisible to me. And she'll bark at the cows if they get close enough that we can hear them moo'ing. And sometimes I think she just barks at the moon!

Haha...yeah, I remember that most Tucson yards aren't real dog-friendly! Our last house there had a little patch of grass in the back yard, but most of it was all terraced stone gardens and a pool. Fortunately no cactus. But we also didn't have a dog there, either. The first thing my goof would probably try to do in an Arizona yard would be to squeeze between two cacti blocking her way. I do think she'd only do that once, though!

Thanks! We're only renting this one. But so far, Colorado Springs is heading the top of the list of potential places to retire to. Have yet to experience a winter here, though...already cold all the time and it's not even Thanksgiving yet! I'll let y'all know in the spring if Colo Sprgs is still at the top of the list.

If so, I DO intend to find a house with a view of both the plains and the mountains! It's the best of all worlds!

Hehe...I've no doubt, and can't wait to see the snow. But it remains to be seen how well we'll tolerate the cold and the icy driving conditions. We're not used to real winters.
