I've seen it happen once or twice, and when I noticed the pattern, I immediately used cooler water, or if time permitted, a complete air thaw of the rat in a bag out on the balcony. Never had the problem since.Originally Posted by h00blah
omg.. i totally forgot about that!! heating a rat with water that's too hot can cause it to burst! i haven't personally seen that, but i've heard of that! it happens mostly to pinkys.. that was probably it! i'm so relieved! horribly sight though i hope none of you guys go through that hahaha
