    Talking New Blood Python

My new hatchling Blood Python from 2kdimes with a mouse in his belly

I lay a couple sheets of newspaper over everything in his tub also, it's just out because I wanted some pictures And I think I'm going to ditch the hide so the sheets can lay flatter. I love how my newspaper is from Kansas haha, I didn't have any so its the stuff that the snake was packed in Kansas is a ways away from Alaska..

    His adults are gorgeous!

What size of prey was offered?

    Thanks!

    He's a boy, I'm a girl

He just got a f/t mouse. He was on rat pups before but we don't have those here. I'll be switching to small rats as soon as he's big enough and he is sticking to his every Friday schedule since he ate for me today like a good snake

I know, I was hoping I had done everything right and made him feel comfortable enough to eat after only being here for like 3 days and sure enough he did. 2kdimes did a great job of producing pretty, well adjusted, and friendly animals

These snakes just get better and better. His tub is next to my bed on a dresser and I was kneeling on the floor with my chin resting on the dresser right in front of his tub watching him lay there and move around. My nose was like right in front of his water dish and he slowly moved around looked at the weird thing staring into his house, got a nice long drink, looked at me again and rested his head on the accurite thermometer laying down in his house nose to nose with me haha.

    Re: New Blood Python

    He is beautiful.

I really gave up on hides since I use newspaper. They seem to prefer to hide under the paper, I guess because there is more flexability to streching out over the heated area. Hides are either hot or cold, no middle ground.

Mine is just a babe as well, but she eats adult mice so makes me ahappy with one less size catagory to worry about.

Yeah these are just adult f/t mice and I'm going to ditch the hide tomorrow so the newspaper thats in there now on top of that other newspaper lays flatter. I mainly had it in there so it would be a little more cluttered.
