Really.. so you've consistently produce kinked offspring from a kinked parent??

More concerning to me is how thin he looks.

Nope, just something I've picked up on from reading. I've never actually bred snakes before.

Ah well there is nothing that I have see or heard that suggest that kinks can be passed from parent to offspring, there are however Morphs that for whatever reason tend to have a higher tendency to produce kinked offspring. But it is tied to the mutation. Any animal has a risk of it. The more eggs you hatch the more of that kind of stuff you'll see.

Hope that calms your fears. Now would I ever breed a kinked animal no! But I have other reasons.

Like caramels right? That makes sense. What other reasons are there? And I would also be worried about the location of the kink, it looks like it's right where his cloaca is, which I can imagine would effect breeding maybe not though.

If not for fear that the trait would be passed on, what other reason is there to not breed a kinked snake?

    Re: can someone help.

    Hi,

Well, just as a basic guess, breeding a kinked female could cause problems with the manipulation of the follicles and eggs along the body depending on the location and severity of the kink. Or the amount of calcium needed to coat and produce the eggs could be a problem if the female leached it from her bones - wierd articulation caused by kinks and weakened bones could be a nasty double act in something designed to protect a spinal cord.

I don't know if those are valid reasons or if they are the ones Ed was thinking of - they are simply the ones that occured to me first when I read your question.
