What are some stupid things people have said you about snakes?

Funniest snake conversation I've had... Was talking with a woman in a "job interview" sort of setting.

She asked me, "Where do you see yourself in five years? What's your biggest dream?"

I answered, "Seriously, in five years, I'd like to be breeding snakes and have my own business."

She blinked hard and looked confused...then asked, "How in the world do you breed snakes?"

With a perfectly straight face, I answer, "Well, you put the boy snake with the girl snake..."

She had a very chagrined laugh at that. And then we had a pleasant conversation about why snakes make such great pets.

My gf and I get "oh pythons are the ones that bite" and "is that a snake?" Course the one that gets asked the most is "are they poisonous?" So for that one we named our two dumerils Poisonous and Venomous so we can say "this one is venomous...THAT one is poisonous"

My gfs boss told her the next time someone asks are they poisonous reply "I don't know I haven't eaten one yet"
