    Re: Normal with striped belly?

Interesting that just popped up in a normal x spider clutch. I also have a dinker with the same belly (she's going with our yellowbelly next season ). Plus BOTH my het clowns have this same belly pattern and are almost desert-like in coloration. It might be worth holding on to them as a dinker project.

    Re: Normal with striped belly?

Its interesting that so many of us have animals that look so similar. I'm definitely keeping the two females. But the two Spiders kind of have a reduced pattern, I might have to hang on to those too, just in case they have something going on with them that I'm unable to see.

Well I agree they aren't SUPER crazy looking however normal to me would have a more "messy" or speckled look. So I'm interested to see how these play out, if its just a belly trait that doesn't do anything or if it is a marker for something else.

Looks like he might be a harlequin wide stripe. I have a few and they have the striped back and the striped belly as well. Breed it to a normal and if around 50% of the offspring hatch with the same striping then that's what it is.

I also agree with what you are saying, they look pretty normal but have "different" bellies. Take all the Yellowbelly, Fire, and Specters of the world and look what they do. They are all very subtle morphs and can be hard to pick out from the Normal next to it at times. Maybe two need to be bred together and see what happens, only time will time...
