As annoying as it is, you owe it to your snakes to educate people that come into contact with your snakes. It's best not to get irritated about it, most people just DON'T know! They don't think to take the time to research what they see on tv, read in the paper, etc, to see if it's actually true! You may not cause them to fall in love with your animals, but IMO, MOST people are ignorant of what these animals are truly like, and it's our job to set the record straight. Seems to me that there's a LOT of subjects that are like this these days.
