I had to respond to your post as I live 60 miles north of Abilene, Tx. & possibly the pet shop you bought your first bp was Pam's Pets & Fish. If so, they are still open & still selling normals & sometimes pastels. Just thought you might like to know, if that was the place.
No, it wasn't Pam's (I remember their name, lol!), it was the little place on S 14th... apparently it burned down a few years ago
