    Re: Male or Female?

It's always very hard to tell from a picture not knowing how experienced and whether or not the person his popping the animal correctly.

If not done correctly a male can look like a female.

Do you have anyone near you that is experienced and can double check for you?

just go to ur vet and get an exam done, they will do it there. no point in messin with ur snakes goodies and risking permanent injury if u arent 100% sure on popping ur snakes

an annual exam is always a good idea, whether the snake is new or old they are all going to a vet, both vets i have been to dont charge extra for sexing. 55 bucks for a complete exam is pretty good around here, includes sexing.

EDIT: i'd rather pay 55 bucks at a vet for an exam and proper sexing than paying several hundreds to fix the damage i could have done just trying to sex my snake at home

Just Colorado doesnt really have a lot of exotic vets and vets here charge a hundred at the door just to look at them, not my kind of stee-low.

I would have to say female unless you are doing it wrong. I mail would pop like the antenae of a snail.

Two noticably long prongs on either side

Those "horns" you speak of are spurs. Spurs are the remenants of vestigial legs.
    Both sexes have them.

Male Spurs are larger... I'd say a girl by the color... Males are a deep red and females are more of a pinkish color
