One thing worth noting after shedding and defecating on the 11th she was was 671 grams. She took a 86 gram medium rat on the 14th. I meant to feed her a small rat and placed a medium rat meant for an adult in her tub. That single meal could have induced her to shed a 2nd time. Atleast I have heard of this happening with other species.

I also have a HRA I purchased at a show on 25th of Jul @ 270 grams. She's a late 09 hatched girl and presently my most aggressive feeder. She shed on the 11th of Aug 10 it was her first shed for me. She just shed out again yesterday 1 Sept 10. After shedding and defecating yesterday she was 515 grams. She took a 52 gram small rat on the 14th its been her largest meal so far.

As far as the not taking food while in shed being a myth.you would know better than me.Im going by her refusal of food during her previous 2 sheds.so my thinking was that it would be a waste of food.I will test that theory tommorow and see what happens...doesnt hurt to try..thank you

Actually just started, I've owned BPs for roughly 1 year now. Not including 2 I owned for short periods of times years ago. I'm not new to herps as I've kept reptiles for some 20 years now. Yet snakes are relatively new to me. With ball python the first I've invest alot of time and commitment to. I'm a hard core turtle keeping. Yet happy to say I'm a ball python keeper. I got into them pretty heavily in a short period of time have a breeding group of 24 balls (plus some forsale) and produced 4 clutches of eggs.
